Hints & Tips:
Moving & Storing can be a very stressful time! Here are a few hints to help you through the process.
- APPLIANCES: Empty all fridges, freezers & other white goods before storing. Clean & deodorise and make sure these items are thoroughly dry. Whilst in storage, fridge & freezer doors should be secured slightly ajar to help eliminate odors and the chance of mould.
- CARS, MOWERS & OTHER MACHINERY: Place protective covering, eg. a small mat or piece of tarpaulin under the machinery to take care of possible spillage.
- FURNITURE: Protect large upholstered furniture & mattresses with a suitable covering.
- WHAT NOT TO STORE: Do not store any goods that are illegal, stolen, flammable, explosive, environmentally harmful, hazardous, perishable or that are a risk to persons or property. eg petrol, paint or acid.
